Appointments to Lotteries Commission

Internal Affairs Minister Peter Dunne today announced the reappointment of Judy Kirk as the Presiding Member (Chair) of the Lotteries Commission for two years, the elevation of Tony Mossman to Deputy Presiding Member and the appointment of a new Director Mark Gilbert. 

“Mrs Kirk has been the Chair of the Lotteries Commission since 2009 and her strong leadership has overseen a period of solid performance by the Commission”, says Mr Dunne.

“Mr Mossman has served on the Lotteries Commission Board since 2011 and will replace Dr Richard Janes who is retiring.

“The new Director, Mr Gilbert is currently an independent Board Member of Auckland Transport and Chairs the Motorcycle Safety Advisory Council.  Previously he was the Managing Director of BMW New Zealand. He also serves on a number of business advisory boards. He will bring strong marketing, franchising, retail knowledge and skills to the Board”, Mr Dunne said.

Minister Dunne thanked the outgoing Deputy Presiding Member, Dr Richard Janes for his valuable service to the Lotteries Commission over the past six years.
