Four Acting District Court Judges Appointed

Four acting District Court Judges have been appointed, Attorney-General Christopher Finlayson announced today.

Bernadette Farnan, barrister and solicitor of Dunedin, has been appointed as an acting District Court Judge with a jury warrant and as a Family Court Judge to serve in the Invercargill District Court. Judge Farnan will be sworn in on 16 April 2015 in Dunedin. 

Tim Black, barrister and solicitor of Dunedin, has been appointed as an acting District Court Judge with a Family Court warrant to serve in the Palmerston North District Court. Judge Black will be sworn in on 17 April 2015 in Dunedin.

Garry Collin, barrister of Christchurch, has been appointed as an acting District Court Judge with a Family Court warrant to serve in the Hamilton District Court. Judge Collin will be sworn in on 21 April 2015 in Christchurch.

Mark Callaghan, barrister of Christchurch, has been appointed as an acting District Court Judge with a jury warrant and as a Family Court Judge to serve in the Invercargill District Court. Judge Callaghan will be sworn in on 29 April 2015 in Christchurch.
