Retirement Villages Association re-housing assistance

Building and Construction Minister Maurice Williamson today welcomed the Retirement Village Association’s announcement of a housing assistance package to for the former residents of Kate Sheppard Gardens.

“Kate Sheppard Gardens was severely damaged by the 22 February earthquake. Residents were evacuated in the immediate aftermath of the quake,” Mr Williamson said.

“The Retirement Villages Association’s offer of re-housing assistance packages will provide choice for Kate Sheppard Gardens’ residents who have not been able to source alternative accommodation.”

Mr Williamson said Kate Sheppard Gardens’ residents who may be considering the Retirement Villages Association’s offer to seek legal advice before accepting the package.
